mobID Family of Products

mobID offers its mobID HBC in several mission specific rugged form factors with a selection of biometric capabilities, wireless and card reading capability.

mobID HBC (handheld biometric computer)

The mobID HBC has been designed around the published requirements of the US Army programs.  This unit also incorporates the advanced iris capability sought by the US Army along with military wireless connectivity in both the Maritime and Army environments:

  • 500 dpi fingerprint capture and FBI/PIV matching via 300,000 full biometric records internally to a remote database
  • 2D facial recognition which meets EBT compliant resolution standards with LED assisted 24/7 capture
  • Iris recognition with unique “Extended depth of field" capability designed to reduce "fuzzy" images
  • Voice recognition optimized to work with any Microsoft enabled speech recognition product
  • Running on a US built Intel Atom 1.6GHZ board with the Trusted Partner Platform
  • Provides an XPe environment with enhanced processing speeds
  • Option for an encased IP67 submersible case for Maritime opportunities
  • GPS enabled for auto location and tagging of all biometric records in compliance with published NIST Standards
  • Gold State roll back and auto reset to operational status real-time in deployed mode
  • Secure video conferencing via forward mounted camera which can also act as a source for CCTV
  • Accommodates the new form factor with PCI Express mini wireless ports to meet changing needs of the wireless industry
  • Hot-swappable Lithium Ion smart battery with at least 8 hours of continuous use to ensure extended usage in the field
  • Integrated Wi-Fi and options for GSM/GPRS/EV-DO/Edge and Mesh providing multiple modes of connectivity in the field
  • Option to communicate via current Army wireless handsets in compliance with changes requested by the DoD
  • Customize the unit by adding peripheral devices with external USB 2.0 port connected via secure DoD connector

mobID HBC MP (man-portable device)

The mobID HBC MP has been designed around the published requirements of DHS Land Border programs and the requirements of the Maritime boarding teams.  This unit is being built with a target weight of no more than 8 lbs.  The device is built out of carbon fiber and Kevlar to reduce weight and aid buoyancy.  mobID is the first manufacturer to design and build an operational field deployable device to a capability that will allow it to float.  The advent of increased security, larger databases and highly sensitive information makes it essential that the device can be recovered if accidentally dropped in the sea:

  • Livescan fingerprint capability including 10 print slaps and rolls, FBI certification, 500 dpi - technology provided by i3
  • 2D facial recognition which meets EBT compliant resolution standards
  • Iris recognition with unique “Extended depth of field" capability
  • Voice recognition optimized to work with any Microsoft enabled product
  • Running on an Intel Atom 1.6GHZ board with the Trusted Partner Platform
  • Provides an XPe environment with enhanced processing speeds
  • Encased in an IP67 submersible case for Maritime opportunities
  • GPS enabled for auto location and tagging of all biometric records
  • 8' daylight/sunlight, night goggle vision capable touch screen
  • Gold State roll back and auto reset to operational status
  • Secure video conferencing via forward mounted camera
  • Accommodates the new form factor with PCI Express mini wireless ports
  • Hot-swappable Lithium Ion smart battery with at least 8 hours of continuous use
  • Integrated Wi-Fi and options for GSM/GPRS/EV-DO/Edge and Mesh
  • Option to communicate via current Army wireless handsets
  • Option to communicate via existing Navy and Coast Guard secure wireless communications
  • Customize the unit by adding peripheral devices via USB 2.0 port

mobID OEM Capabilities

mobID is offering the advances it has made in the mobID HBC and the mobID HBC MP to industry partners.  mobIDs OEM capabilities will allow partner technologies to rapidly include or substitute their technology with the mobID base devices.  The use of these US made boards and case manufacturing capabilities will save partners many months of expensive research and help them get to product deployment in rapid time.

mobID currently has two such programs at various stages of development.  The availability of these produces will be announced once the partner introduces them to the market.  mobIDs expanded OEM role is including:

  • Advanced facial recognition capture
  • Inclusion of multiple iris capture technologies
  • Use of new lightweight materials to reduce device weight
  • Expansion of capabilities to function with multiple sensor devices
  • Building on healthcare solutions with barcode and RFID in the transportation and handling of pharmaceuticals
  • Incorporating breakthrough technologies to provide DoD with high throughputs of data.
