mobID is a small team of talented people jointly based in Reston, Northern Virginia. The team has worked diligently to develop a 100% "Made in America" biometric products that incorporate in excess of 90% US made electronic parts. US production is aimed at reducing the risk to the DoD or DHS agencies from the potential treat of "Trojan horses", data theft or the introduction of unwanted viruses, all of which are becoming an increasing problem for DoD and DHS Agencies. As these newer electronic devices are deployed on the network the mobID product range may help to overcome the technical risk to the user Agency.

mobID is reversing the trend that has seen many well established hardware vendors move their production overseas. Many of those companies have suffered as a result of these moves and are in the process of moving their hardware production back to the US. mobIDs efforts are also targeted at preserving more US based jobs and utilizing a very talented hardware/software engineering pool who have increasingly seen their jobs transferred overseas.

DoD has in recent times begun to look for more home grown technologies that meet or exceed their published requirements. In developing its family of biometric products mobID is consistently targeting desirable technology changes to ensure that customers can invest in the mobID product range with confidence.

The mobID family of products will help provide DoD and DHS agencies with the full range of biometric capabilities along with NIST and FBI compliance in both capture and matching procedures. mobID also believes that its adoption of high level encryption algorithms will provide customers with an unequalled level of device protection.
